About RGB and HSV

In Microsoft PhotoDraw, you can mix your own colors by entering exact values in the More Colors dialog box. These values describe amounts of red, green, and blue (RGB) or hue, saturation, and value (HSV).

RGB and HSV values are useful when you must exactly match or describe a color choice ù for example, instead of telling someone to use a ôdark greenö color, you could provide an exact color description by specifying RGB values such as R=0, G=128, B=0.

The following table shows corresponding RGB and HSV values for common colors.

Tip   If you want to see the RGB or HSV value for a color you've selected on the Custom Palette tab, click the True Color tab, and then look in the boxes next to the sliders.
